Size and Fuel Type

We chose this Char-Broil 2-burner grill for its compact size, ideal for our patio. Two burners are sufficient for cooking for two to four people. While it can be connected to natural gas, we opted for the convenience of propane tanks.

The propane tank connection features a handy gauge, allowing for easy monitoring of gas levels and timely tank changes. This eliminates the guesswork and ensures uninterrupted grilling.

Ease of Cleaning and Assembly

Cleaning the grill is straightforward. It includes a scraper tool designed to fit the grate grooves, making cleaning quick and effective (although I'm unsure if this tool is still included with current models).

Assembly was incredibly easy; the entire process was very simple and hassle-free. This saved us a lot of time and effort compared to other grills we've used.

Performance and Durability

The temperature gauge is accurate, and the grill reaches 400°F in about 5 minutes. After three years of use, most components are still functioning perfectly.

The only issue we encountered was the igniter, which failed around the 2.5-year mark. However, replacing it was easy, and readily available replacement parts made the fix simple.

Infrared Technology and Cooking Performance

Char-Broil advertises even cooking with its infrared technology. While generally true, we noticed slightly uneven cooking near the edges compared to the center of the grates.

This minor inconsistency doesn't significantly impact the overall grilling experience; however, it's something to be aware of when placing food on the grill.

While the igniter may require replacement after a couple of years, the overall durability and performance of the grill far outweigh this minor drawback. The price point is also very competitive for the quality.
